One of the beauties of the Internet is that there are several ways the pages and content within can be linked.  The confusion this can create can be remedied with appropriate planning of the Site Layout, as well as creating consistent navigation aids on each page.

Links can be created from within the text of a document, by including a navigation bar on each page, or through the use of button bars. The savvy web designer is also concerned with developing consistency in their site's navigation.
